Teddy Bear Project a Health Awareness Campaign
On December 1, 2017, the International SOS, the world’s leading medical & travel security services firm, visited our school to hold a health awareness campaign for students. The campaign was designed to help students adopt healthy behaviors like healthy eating, hygiene, exercise, etc.
Students participated in a mock operation on a teddy bear with a broken leg. The kids were split into two groups (5-7 each) and dressed up as surgeons, just like the doctor. The doctor then talked to the kids about x-rays, operations, and then started the operation with a special surgeon needle with two student assistants on both sides of her. Later on, the kids applied bandages to the teddy bear. The students also got to see an ambulance and learn how patients are carried to the hospital in them. At the end of the day, students received a certificate and a coloring book for their attention and participation.
